About
Personal
I’ve always been interested in RF technology, and in 2017 I finally got my call sign (ON3AD) after being a registered SWL (ONL12316). In 2018, I upgraded my license to full HAREC; my call sign is now ON8AD. I’m interested in… anything! SSB, SWL, digital modes, antenna design, electronics, aerospace, and more. As you can see from this blog, you’ll notice I like repairing anything that has electronics in it.
I’m also a proud father of two wonderful daughters and enjoy spending time with my family in the Ardennes.
Professional
You could say I started my career at six years old, when I took ownership of my sister’s computer—a powerful Amiga A500+! Now nearing 40, I’m as passionate about technology as ever. My main area of expertise lies in networks and systems administration. Over the years, I’ve accumulated a wealth of knowledge, which I enjoy sharing with others. I have experience in R&D, testing, and working in datacenter and mission-critical environments. A techie at heart, I enjoy deep diving into topics, striving for that extra percent of performance and long-term stability by creating solid solutions.
